First get a idea of what you wanna write.

 Then get yourself a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). There’s many out there, Fl studio, Ableton live 9 suite, Cubase, Reason and Logic X. Then go online and download some Sample Packs you can find many with some really cool sounds.

Then after you have all your tools you can start messing around with beats, loops and start writing melody's or whatever your making. Also, you can find free demos on these software and if you have a Mac or any IOS devices you can try garage band, it’s limited on what you can do but it works! Most importantly HAVE FUN!!
