How do I show love?
- I start doing all the little practical things that make your life easier. Little things that can go unnoticed. Say you’re thinking of getting a certain book (Warning: nerd INTJ hobby here)? I’ll research the cashback websites and the credit card rewards schemes that I have, get it at the absolute least price, and you’ll see it on your desk before you even thought of ordering it online.
- I make time for you. Like really. It’s a guarantee that I wish I could see you in real life more than in my mind. Much more than I cherish my alone time. Normal friends or acquaintances - even family members don’t get that kind of priority from me.
- I immerse myself in your life. I ask you questions. I find out what makes you happy/sad and why that triggers those feelings. I then seek to optimise all that by doing things that make you happy and eliminating things that make you sad (as long as they’re not dealbreakers to me). I will burn down cities for you if they make you sad. (But I most probably won’t tell you that I did it). You’d magically find an (almost) perfect birthday celebration waiting for you because I learnt what you liked and went about designing the most ideal celebration for you.
